Wyatts Pool

The UK’s only fully wheelchair accessible fishing pool.

We have installed 30 pegs, all of which are designed to be suitable for disabled anglers, with extensive wheelchair access all round. Wheelchair access extends to more pegs and a teaching platform on Laurel Pool, another teaching platform and one peg on trout pool ‘Chestnut’ (now open for fly fishing) and 10 pegs on Jades Island.

Wyatts is stocked with over plenty of fish mainly consisting of our own strain, home bred, hard fighting Common and Mirror Carp from 3oz to over 5lbs, with a few lumps! We also added a small number of roach and bream to 2lbs (yes that includes the roach!) for variety.

We plan to plant marginal reeds and iris along with willows to add to the aesthetics of the pool.

Wyatts throws regular winning match weights of over 100lbs and the current venue record came from this pool—a whopping 394lb 4oz by Scott Jones, our resident Fish Farm Technician.

In addition to the above, we have also added more disabled access pegs on Jades Island Pool, one of our mature Victorian stew ponds. This will give priority to disabled angers who just want to fish for pleasure, rather than competing in matches.

So, we can now offer 8 pools on day ticket for anglers of all ages and abilities and with the addition of fly fishing for trout and carp on Chestnut Pool later this year, plus our café, shop and teaching facility soon to be constructed, not to mention the varied wildlife that abounds at Cob House, we will offer some of the best and most relaxing angling amenities available — and all in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside
