FISHERY CLOSING TIMES: Gates are now locked at 5pm.   All fishermen must be off site before this time.

A warm welcome to Cob House Fishery, a coarse fishery that offers peaceful fishing in beautiful surroundings and caters for both the visiting pleasure angler and match angler alike.

Anglers can currently enjoy eight coarse fishing pools on a day ticket, with four of the pools also available for match bookings. We also run regular open matches, details of which can be found on our Match Fishing Page.

Four established old Victorian stew ponds offer mixed fishing amongst beautifully mature bank side vegetation and a wealth of wildlife. There are some good sized carp in these pools, with several at least over the twenty pound mark. Perch over 3lb are a regular catch on Listers End especially. Please follow the link for further details.

Our match pools are well stocked pools giving the visiting angler the chance to catch a large ‘bag’ of fish consisting mainly of our hard fighting Cob House Carp reared on our own Fish Farm. These can be booked as a whole pool or by the peg. Don’t forget the weekday breakfast and fishing offers and there are many things for the family to do whilst on site so please check out the rest of our website.

Our popular Cob House Academy gives juniors of all abilities the chance to learn to fish and develop their angling skills. Our qualified coaches are on hand to guide youngsters into what can become a life-long pastime. Junior Angling Dates

All in all, we wish you a very pleasurable angling experience and may your lines be forever tight!

What Customer Say…..
“We had a great day today, and really enjoyed the fishing (and the breakfast). I felt the accessibility was really good, and nice to see accessible platforms on an established pool ( Jades pool) as well as the other pools. I will certainly be back, not only for myself, but for days with my Visually Impaired club. I will gladly recommend your fishing pools and the lovely facilities, on my website, as i feel they really do tick the box. I can hopefully encourage one of the staff at our college who wants to do fly fishing with the students, to come. We looked to see if there could be any improvements or ideas, but couldn’t as yet, apart from maybe vehicle access to the accessible pool for anyone with a disability. Really good family complex, that doesn’t sideline anyone with a disability by giving one peg right by the entrance, like a lot of fisheries. Also nice to see that it is not all about fishing as well.”

“THANK YOU ! from CAST NORTH WEST for making our visit to Cob House so enjoyable for all the young people who will never forget the experience that you and all your staff provided. Any body who wants to experience fishing at its best!!! And meet people who treat young people with respect no matter what background,  needs to make the journey to Cob House
Well Done to your self for making our visit so enjoyable”.
